A WWE star has revealed plans that would have seen a tag team split up, leading to a match that could have changed their presentation.
The team of Nathan Frazer and Axiom has been a fixture in WWE since the time of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in early 2024 on NXT.
Now both members of the main roster, Frazer has recently revealed that there were plans for Fraxiom to part ways.
Speaking on No-Contest Wrestling, Frazer would share the opinion that the long-term plan wasn’t for him to be a tag team with Axiom, saying:
“It wasn’t even really the long-term plan to even remain a tag team. I’m sure you remember us bickering back and forth for what seemed like months on TV.
“The plan was originally to split us. I wanted to actually take my character into a heel role. The hard-hitting home truths character, I wanted that to be a heel guy.
“Obviously, when I came back from my injury, they wanted it to still be kinda babyface but I think the long-term plan was that I always wanted to be heel, especially with the character. They were like, ‘We wanna build to that.’
“That’s, I think, what caused them to be like, ‘I think there’s a good dynamic between Axiom and Nathan on TV. We’ll put them together and eventually lead to a split.'”
“I think it was around November/December time when everything was just clicking and firing on all cylinders, where we both went to Shawn (Michaels) and said, ‘Don’t do it. It’s working way too well. We have a better chance of being called up to the main roster, as well. We’re really enjoying what we’re doing.'”

Frazer would then go on to reveal the plans that may have been in place to split up the pair, stating:
“In an alternate universe, which I’m glad we don’t live in, Stand and Deliver (in April 2025) wouldn’t have been Nathan Frazer & Axiom versus Hank & Tank.
“Stand and Deliver would have been Nathan Frazer versus Axiom, Mask vs Hair. That was the North Star that everybody agreed on.
“But, we said to them, ‘Don’t do it’. And then Shawn went like, ‘I think that’s a great idea. I think you guys are really smart about that. A lot of people want to go off on their own and want their own success. It’s all me, me, me, but you guys are recognizing that it’s really working. You guys have something special, and I couldn’t agree with you more.'”

With the plans to continue with the tag team, Frazer would say that the pair didn’t know who would have won the match had they gone one-on-one.
Former two-time NXT Tag Team Champions, Fraxiom were called up to the main roster in April of this year and competed in the WWE Tag Team Championship Six-Pack TLC match at SummerSlam in August.
The match, which saw The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy) retain against Fraxiom, #DIY, Andrade & Rey Fenix, The Street Profits and Motor City Machine Guns would be described as ‘absolutely f’n awesome‘ by Triple H.
