Former WWE Star Thanks Tony Khan After Debut WWE/AEW

Formerly known as Reginald, Reggie and SCRYPTS in WWE, Sidney Akeem recently made his ROH debut and has thanked Tony Khan.

Akeem’s ROH debut saw him face Johnny TV and was taped on August 11, 2024 for broadcast on August 29.

While Akeem may have been unsuccessful in his debut, he would share a message of thanks and inspiration on Twitter, posting:

“For real, I’m just a guy from Walnut Park..A lot of people don’t make it out of where I come from. #favorofgod

“Thank you @TonyKhan @ringofhonor until I make more magic in that squared circle 😤😎”

In April 2024, it was reported that Akeem was set to leave WWE with his contract expiring on June 1 of that year.

His last WWE match would see Out of the Mud (SCRYPTS & Lucien Price) lose to Ivar & Tank Ledger at a WWE NXT Live house show on April 20, 2024.

He would make his independent wrestling debut on June 15 at GCW Hit Em Up, defeating Jack Cartwheel.

In comments made after his release, Akeem noted that the ‘door was open‘ for a potential return to WWE.

The real-life Sidney Bateman signed with WWE in January 2020 and made his on-screen debut in December 11 of that year on WWE SmackDown as Reginald Thomas, later Reginald.
