It sounds like WWE is finally going to be changing the name of 205 Live, which is essentially NXT’s b-show now.
Despite months of not adhering to the 205-pound weight limit, and even longer of not being a live show, the show has maintained its original name, but apparently that’s about to change.
During tonight’s NXT 2.0, Joe Gacy stated that he has plans to change the name of a particular show that promotes exclusivity.
Although not confirmed, it would make sense that he was referring to 205 Live since that fits the description of having an exclusive name (205), and that it obviously needs changing since it doesn’t actually meet those requirements anymore.
Gacy was unsuccessful in challenging Roderick Strong for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, which a lot of people thought Gacy would actually win so the title could be rebranded and the cruiserweight division could be done away with.
Gacy also announced that Harland will be making his in-ring debut on NXT 2.0 next week.
For those wondering, the results from the last episode of 205 Live were:
- Ivy Nile def. Erica Yan
- Boa def. Draco Anthony
- Creed Brothers def. Jacket Time
