WWE Sending Talent To Samu Benefit Show

WWE is sending members of its roster to the Mt. Ville Sports Center in Allentown, PA tonight for WXW-C4’s stacked benefit show for stricken Samu.

The former WWE Tag Team Champion is currently battling stage 4 liver cancer, which he confirmed publicly shortly after fellow Anoa’i family member Roman Reign’s leukaemia diagnosis in October.

WXW-C4 – which is promoted by Samu’s father Afa – will be donating proceeds from the event to a fundraiser set up to get Samu a liver transplant.

You can donate to the fundraiser at this link.

WWE is sending Raw star Samoa Joe to the show, WWE producers Michael Hayes and Billy Kidman, NXT’s Kassius Ohno and referee Shawn Bennett.

WWE is billing the appearance of its stars as a “huge crossover event” between the promotions.

In keeping with that, Samu’s son Lance Anoa’i appeared on WWE television this past Monday night on Raw, where he served as fodder for Shane McMahon.

Tommy Dreamer (who wrestled for AEW last week), Gene Snitsky and Manu, plus several other members of the Anoa’i family are also advertised for the show.

Terri Runnels was also supposed to appear but she was arrested earlier today at an airport (presumably on her way to the show) and is still in jail, so she will not be there.

Once again, here is the link to donate to the Samu fundraiser.
