In October 2018, WWE held their Evolution pay-per-view. This was the first all-female pay-per-view event in WWE history.
The show was headlined by a Raw Women’s Championship match between Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella. However, the standout match was a Last Woman Standing match between long-time rivals Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
It was reported that there would not be a second Evolution event this year, something that many fans feel is down to the fact that Ronda Rousey has left the company.
However, it seems as if WWE will be holding an all-female event of sorts later on this year.
Shayna Baszler revealed over the weekend that the December 5 NXT house show in Jacksonville, Florida will only have women’s matches on the show.
There is no word on why WWE is deciding to hold an all women’s show, so stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest.
However, with the likes of Rhea Ripley, Biance Belair, Mia Yim, Candice LeRae, Io Shirai and the aforementioned Shayna Baszler on their roster, the show will likely have many fantastic matches.
