WWE has released a media advisory today to invite local media to a press conference to be held in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada this Friday, October 11.
Scheduled to appear are Tyson Fury, Brock Lesnar, Cain Velasquez, Rey Mysterio, Paul Heyman, Triple H, and Braun Strowman. The announcement looks to be related to matches between Fury and Strowman and Lesnar and Velasquez.
Lesnar and Velasquez has been rumored to take place at WWE Crown Jewel. Given the people invited, it seems Fury and Strowman will be happening at the Saudi Arabia show, as well.
Lesnar, Velasquez, Heyman, and Mysterio being at the press conference would seem to indicate they should be involved in an angle on Smackdown Friday Night.
It’s possible Strowman and Fury could also have a follow up angle on the show. Friday Night’s Smackdown is set to be night one of the WWE draft.
While it appears WWE is finally committing to an actual brand split, this should be the last Smackdown where we see crossover stars from both brands. Raw has one more episode before the rosters are finalized.
Fury and Strowman are most likely headed to Raw to continue their feud. However, with Brock being the WWE Champion, he will be on Smackdown from here on out.
