Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has provided a major update on his injury and how long he’ll be out of action.
Rollins suffered a shoulder injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel on October 11.
The injury meant he had to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship, with the new champion set to be decided at Saturday Night’s Main Event tomorrow in a match between CM Punk and Jey Uso.
Rollins appeared on Good Morning Football today, providing an update on his status.
He said he’s going to be out for six months and the World Heavyweight Championship belt is now gonna be worn by “some schmuck,” whether it’s Punk or Uso.
Six months from now would put Rollins out until just after WWE WrestleMania 41, which takes place on April 18 and 19, 2026.
The original plan for Rollins at WrestleMania was reportedly for him to face Roman Reigns in a one-on-one match after they and CM Punk were in a three-way for last year’s night one main event.
We’ll keep you posted if any further updates and emerge and we send our best wishes to Rollins for his recovery.
