WWE’s Seth Rollins Discusses Potential Hollywood Move

WWE’s Seth Rollins Discusses Potential Hollywood Move WWE

It’s not unusual for WWE stars to find a way into the movie world, with The Rock and John Cena being among the Hollywood standouts.

Seth Rollins has also dipped his toe in the pool and was recently asked if he would be transitioning into movies after he finishes up as a full-time wrestler.

During a recent appearance on The Pivot Podcast, Rollins reflected on the possibility becoming a movie star after he retires, saying:

“You know what, I think everybody’s got their own blueprint

“I think there’s some people out there that love the Hollywood thing. I’ve done a couple things, I don’t love it. I don’t love it, I don’t.

“I wish I did, I wish I could say, ‘Man, I love it,’ and I’m open, I’m open. If anybody’s out there listening, I’m open to roles and stuff like that. But I just love my business, man. I love doing it, I love thinking about it, I love coming up with new ideas.”

While Rollins may not love the movie making business, he would share his thoughts on a “fantastic” aspect, stating:

“The performance aspect of it is fantastic. But I think for me, when I start to phase out in the ring, I will probably do something behind the scenes.”

Rollins would name Cody Rhodes as a WWE star he could see following in Cena and The Rock’s footsteps, saying:

“Cody [Rhodes], he might be a Hollywood guy, I don’t know. John [Cena], that’s what he wants to do, and he’s great at it. Dwayne, he was from the get-go. He always saw himself as The Rock, the biggest movie star on the planet now. He always saw himself talking those steps to get to that level.

“For me, I see myself more like a Triple H.”

Triple H is no stranger to the movies having appeared in Blade: Trinity, The Chaperone and Inside Out (not that one).

Rollins was cast in Captain America: Brave New World and has previously discussed having to step out of his comfort zone for the role.

The movie is set for a February 2025 release with a July 2024 IMDB report noting that it “remains uncertain whether Rollins will appear in the movie” after reshoots pivoted the MCU entry “to a different storyline.”
