Shayna Baszler has shared her thoughts on a potential WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship run with Ronda Rousey.
On numerous occasions last year, Rousey indicated that she was more interested in dominating the women’s tag-team division with Baszler than continuing her singles run.
After losing her SmackDown Women’s Title to Charlotte Flair in December, Rousey returned to the ring on the February 17 edition of SmackDown, teaming with Baszler to defeat Natalya & Shotzi.
Speaking on WWE Die Woche, Baszler stated that she and Rousey aren’t actively chasing title opportunities, but won’t turn down a shot at the women’s tag title if they’re offered one.
Sharing her thoughts on the women’s tag division, Baszler said:
Well I mean, I think if that opportunity presents itself which is definitely not something we’re gonna say ‘no’ to (Baszler & Ronda Rousey going after WWE Women’s Tag Titles).
“I think especially, once Ronda dropped the title recently with Charlotte (Flair), we had a talk and it’s not about the title or titles or any titles for either of us. We are out to remind people — it seems people have forgotten just who Ronda and I are and so we’re here to remind them.
“The title opportunities will come if we’re ourselves and we’re not taking any crap from anyone. The title opportunities will come along so I wouldn’t say it’s something we’re chasing necessarily but it’s definitely something that we see down the road.
It has been rumored that Baszler and Rousey are slated for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 39.
