Sheamus and Drew McIntyre have doubled down on their hilarious new team name following WWE SmackDown.
Sheamus especially is currently on the run of his career, wrestling banger after banger after banger after… you get the idea.
On the January 6 show, the Sheamus and McIntyre revealed their new team name, inspired by Sheamus’ consistency in the ring.
Because they wrestle bangers, Sheamus and McIntyre will be known as the Banger Brothers, or Banger Bros for short.
If you don’t understand why that’s funny, I envy your innocence.
In the main event of the episode, the Banger Brothers, challenged for The Usos’ Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, but came up short after Jimmy Uso pinned Sheamus, with a helping hand from Jey Uso.
After the show went off the air, Sheamus and McIntyre were ambushed by the Viking Raiders, who dropped both stars with Ragnarok powerbombs.
Putting the SmackDown roster on notice, while reminding fans of his team name, Sheamus took to Twitter after the show to note:
“Should be tag champs today fella but sometimes cheats prosper.. we have a few receipts to deliver next week. You’re all on notice. #BangerBros”
Referencing another Sheamus tweet in which the Irish star got fans to vote on the Banger Bros’ mode of transportation, McIntyre replied:
“Let’s get back on that bus fella…”
