WWE Raw star Sheamus has teased the possibility of bringing the Banger Brothers back to life alongside Drew McIntyre.
The pair were united as The Banger Bros in early 2023, although the name came under criticism due to its similarity to an NSFW website.
A fan shared a series of photos of the pair enjoying drinks, food and each other’s company following their Hot Ones appearance, which saw Sheamus respond with a promise.
Hopeful for a reunion with McIntyre, Sheamus tweeted:
“One day, we’ll put the band back together 🍻”
The pair have shared a long friendship in and out of the ring, stemming back to their early days on the independent wrestling scene.
Sheamus signed with WWE back in 2007 with McIntyre having attended the same tryout and signing in the same year.
McIntyre would be released in June 2014, returning to the independent scene before making his WWE return in April 2017.
Over their respective WWE careers, they have teamed and crossed paths with each other a number of times.
The 2022 Survivor Series: WarGames saw McIntyre, Kevin Owens and The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Butch & Ridge Holland) take on The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy & Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa & Sami Zayn).
The last time Sheamus and McIntyre shared the ring was in July 2024 on WWE Raw in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Triple Threat that also featured Ilja Dragunov.
McIntyre would win the match going on to beat Andrade, Carmelo Hayes, Chad Gable, Jey Uso and LA Knight for a men’s championship contract in the Money in the Bank ladder match at the July 6 PLE.
