Violinist Discusses Creation Of Shinsuke Nakamura WWE Theme WWE

The musician behind an iconic WWE entrance theme has opened up about the leeway he had in creating the sound of the track.

Shinsuke Nakamura‘s WWE entrance music ‘The Rising Sun‘ features a standout violin performance by Earl Maneein of Seven Sun.

During a recent appearance on Ropes N Riffs, Maneein spoke about working with CFO$ to create the track, saying:

“The CFO$ guys were super cool. They wrote all of the things, it was all laid out for me. It wasn’t on sheet music, it was on their MIDI controllers, and they were like ‘We got this thing, we kind of hear violin here, what can you do for this?’

“I just basically took it and I kind of put my own vibe on it. I’m not a wrestling fan, really, but I understand deeply that this is hype music, this is what gets the crowd stoked that this guy is coming out, and how are we going to build this excitement?

“They already laid the groundwork… But if you listen to the full track, there’s definitely me taking a bunch of solos.”
