Former WWE Star’s First In-Ring Appearance After Departure Announced WWE

A former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion has been confirmed for an international tour following their release in May 2025.

Former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Shotzi was one of a number of names to depart from WWE on May 2.

It has now been confirmed that Shotzi will be heading to Japan as part of the GCW tour in July of this year.

Shotzi Blackheart’s involvement in the upcoming three-show tour of Japan was confirmed by GCW on Twitter.

GCW shared a graphic, announcing Shotzi for the July 28, 29 and 30 shows in Shinjuku Face, Tokyo Square and Korakuen Hall respectively.

No opponent was named for the former WWE star at the time of writing, with her GCW appearance marking her apparent debut in Japan.

Shotzi was a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Ember Moon, now Athena in AEW & ROH.

Her WWE departure came when he contract expired without being renewed, having signed with the company in October 2019.

While this marks Shotzi’s first officially announced booking following her WWE exit, it was previously reported that she’s expected to be heading to MLW after being teased for their June 26 event.
