WWE reportedly has “significant interest” in signing an international star after undergoing a tryout for the company.
In late March during WWE’s Road to WrestleMania European tour the company held tryouts in London, inviting many top prospects from the European independent scene, as well as athletes from other sports outside of wrestling.
While it had previously been reported that English stars Man Like DeReiss and Rhio had impressed during the tryout, Fightful Select has shared a new update on another star who caught WWE’s eye during the event.
According to Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan WWE has “significant interest” in signing Spanish talent Zozaya following his performance at the London tryout and are “pursuing” him.
Sources close to Zozaya told Fightful that the Madrid born star is set to finish University in June this year, while the belief within WWE is that any talent signed from the tryout would begin with the company in September.
Zozaya has built up a wealth of experience since making his in-ring debut in 2018 – competing for the likes of Pro Wrestling NOAH, RevPro, CMLL, PROGRESS and many other promotions.
We will provide updates on the future on Zozaya as well any other potential WWE signees from the London tryouts as more news becomes available.
