New WWE Signing Suffers First Pinfall Loss

A new WWE signing has suffered their first pinfall defeat in the company in a number one contenders match on tonight’s show.

Stephanie Vaquer made her debut for the WWE NXT brand back in October, arriving as the partner of Giulia to face off against Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade.

Since her arrival, Stephanie has yet to taste a pinfall defeat in the company, including going unbeaten during the Iron Survivor Challenge.

On last week’s New Year’s Evil episode of NXT, Vaquer bested Cora Jade, Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan to earn a shot at the Women’s North American Championship.

However, she wasn’t the only person to earn a shot at the title on the show, as Shotzi would pin the champion Fallon Henley during a six-woman tag team match on the show.

A match was made for this week’s episode of NXT, pitting Stephanie against Shotzi, with the winner being the new number one contender for Fallon Henley’s title.

However, Fallon and Jacy Jayne would end up getting involved in the match, with Fallon hitting Vaquer in the back with her title, allowing Shotzi to roll her up and score the win.

This defeat marks the first time that Vaquer has suffered a pinfall defeat during her WWE tenure thus far.

Shotzi and Fallon’s North American Championship match will take place on the January 28 episode of NXT.
