WWE Signs Former EVOLVE Champion

It has been reported today that WWE has signed former EVOLVE Tag Team Champion Anthony Henry. Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported the news. The report says Henry will be sent to the WWE Performance Center to train ahead of his eventual NXT debut.

Henry recently posted a tweet with a long farewell to the PWX independent promotion he was working for in North Carolina. Now, we know that the reason for the goodbye was tied to him signing with WWE. Here is the tweet:

Anthony Henry has been wrestling since his debut in 2002. During his career, he has worked for promotions such as the aforementioned PWX, EVOLVE and Full Impact Pro.

He won the EVOLVE Tag Team Championship with JD Drake. Henry also held the FIP World Championship for over 500 days, losing the title to Jon Davis in February 2020.
