Announcer Change For WWE SmackDown In Scotland Before Clash At The Castle

There’s an announcer swap for today’s WWE SmackDown airing live from Glasgow, Scotland ahead of tomorrow’s Clash at the Castle.

With WWE taking a travelling crew from the US to Scotland, one ring announcer didn’t make the trip.

Despite the events that took place with Ricochet on this past Monday’s WWE Raw, Samantha Irvin is on ring announcing duty for SmackDown today.

On Raw, Irvin had left in the ambulance with Ricochet, crying by his side after he was attacked by Bron Breakker.

With Irvin on duty for SmackDown, that means the usual SmackDown ring announcer Alicia Taylor doesn’t seem to have made the journey to Scotland.

In that case, Irvin will presumably be the lone ring announcer for WWE Clash at the Castle tomorrow as well.

As a side note from the opening match, Chelsea Green’s entrance has a new intro with Samantha Irvin’s specialized ring announcement of her name playing before the actual music starts.

That meant we heard the announcement twice today as Irvin made the live call during Green’s entrance as well, which usually wouldn’t be the case on SmackDown.
