Future Championship Match Teased After WWE SmackDown WWE

A future WWE Tag Team Championship match appears to have been revealed, with two SmackDown stars setting their sights on the title.

The July 4 SmackDown episode saw Rey Fenix and Andrade pick up their second win as a duo, giving Nathan Frazer and Axiom their first defeat since being called up to the main roster.

This is the third SmackDown side this new duo have beaten, with Fenix and Andrade previously besting Los Garza on the May 9 episode, and defeating DIY on the June 27 show.

In a new backstage video shared to TikTok by WWE Español, Fenix and Andrade revealed that they believe they now deserve a WWE Tag Team Championship match.

Andrade concluded by noting the following to the camera:

“Rey Fenix said it, if you want to see us as a tag-team, we’ll give it our all, and we’re going to chase an opportunity for the championship.”

The WWE World Tag Team Championship recently changed hands, with Finn Balor and JD McDonagh defeating Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on the June 30 Raw episode.
