A championship match that had been announced for tonight’s WWE SmackDown has been changed in a big way during the show.
Advertised ahead of the show, the Motor City Machine Guns were set to defend the WWE Tag Team Championship on tonight’s show against the Street Profits.
However, the match will no longer be taking place.
The Profits were shown down backstage with the story that there had been a mystery attack.
As Nick Aldis was on the scene with MCMG, Johnny Gargano suggested that he and Tommaso Ciampa could step in.
Initially, Aldis didn’t agree, but MCMG were up for it and accepted the challenge.
With Ciampa having shown a more heel side in recent weeks. he would be the lead suspect to have been the one who attacked the Profits, but it’s not actually been confirmed yet.
We’ll keep you posted with all the news from tonight’s December 6 episode of WWE SmackDown.
