The viewership figure and demo rating for Friday’s (August 19) edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX has been revealed.
Per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, SmackDown drew 2.084 million viewers. This is up from the August 12 edition that drew 1.927 million viewers.
In the 18-49 demographic, Friday’s show scored 0.47 rating. This is up from the week prior that scored 0.44 rating.
The show finished #1 in the demo for the night on broadcast primetime and cable. This is despite the episode being pre-empted in markets including Charlotte, New Orleans, San Diego and St. Louis.
The episode featured Sheamus defeating Happy Corbin, Madcap Moss, Ricochet and Sami Zayn to become number one contender for Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship at Clash At The Castle on September 3.
