WWE SmackDown Runtime Change Update

WWE SmackDown Runtime Change Update WWE

Following their move to three hours, a new report has revealed an update on another format change for WWE SmackDown.

Starting with the January 3 edition, WWE SmackDown went from two hours to three for the first time in the show’s 25 year history.

As previously reported, Triple H confirmed on a recent edition of The Pat McAfee Show that the Friday night program would return to two hours soon.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that SmackDown is expected to move back to its original duration sooner rather than later. The report reads:

“Right now it looks like May or June for the Smackdown move back to two hours.”

No formal announcement about this change has been made by WWE at the time of this writing.

The January 17 edition of WWE SmackDown will feature Solo Sikoa returning to the show and Bayley will challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship.
