Results and brief news from SmackDown Live

Jeff Hardy beat Shinsuke Nakamura by DQ in a United States Championship match when Randy Orton interfered. Hardy had Nakamura pinned after a Swanton when Orton pulled him out of the ring and brutalised Jeff at ringside, ending the assault with a draping DDT on the floor. Strong heel heat for Orton.

The Miz held an in-ring funeral for Team Hell No complete with pall bearers. He verbally ran down Kane and Daniel Bryan and said Bryan’s career was dead. Bryan then went after Miz and when he bailed, instead attacked the pall bearers, giving one of them the Busaiku knee. Good angle but the crowd wasn’t as into it as you might expect.
