Tonight’s WWE Smackdown is the go-home show for Survivor Series. If the other WWE shows are any example, we can expect lots of brawls and surprise appearances.
However, we do have a few announced segments. Here’s what we know so far:
- Daniel Bryan summons Bray Wyatt to the ring
- Roman Reigns, Mustafa Ali & Shorty G battle King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode
The Main Event
Roman Reigns, Mustafa Ali, and Shorty G are fighting King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, and Robert Roode. Corbin claims he’s the captain for Team Smackdown.
Shorty G takes a huge slam through the announcers’ table. He seems to be out. Roman is getting worked over until a hot tag to Ali.
Ali comes in with a great sequence. After everyone gets a spot in on the outside, King Corbin hits the big slam on Ali for the win.
Just as he was about to hit Ali with a scepter, Reigns with a spear. Rollins music hits.
Out comes Team Raw through the crowd. Rollins gets in the ring with Roman by himself. CM Punk chants.
Rollins and Reigns going at it. Raw starts beating up Roman, Ali, and Gable.
Eventually, Smackdown empties the locker room and the brawl ensues. Where’s NXT?
They were riding the D-X Army Tank led by Road Dogg, Triple H, and HBK. The show goes off the air with Keith Lee and Braun Strowman battling amongst the entire rosters.

Shayna Baszler
Baszler is out to call out Bayley. Bayler called her out earlier.
Baszler challenged her and looked to the Titantron. Meanwhile, Bayley attacked from behind.
After a quick brawl, Bayley slams Shayna into the steel steps. Baszler gets a murderous look in her eyes.

AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan
AJ Styles cuts a great Heel AJ promo. Man, he’s come such a long way with is comfort level on the mic from his early days in TNA.
Daniel Bryan makes his way out to the ring and he sends us to the video recap package. Now, it feels like Smackdown.
Bryan calls out The Fiend. We get The Miz. Bryan’s response:
“If there’s one thing worse than The Fiend, it’s the Miz.”
Miz slaps Bryan and we’ll get a match after the break. Bryan is really good.
This match has no real build and the audience didn’t appear to be into it. However, when Bryan gets control he gets the crowd behind him.
Right as he finally does the Yes motion in the corner for the first time since his heel turn, the light cut out. Miz is gone and The Fiend is in the corner.
Fiend locks mandible claw and puts Bryan down. That was a pretty cool spot.

Undisputed Era vs. New Day and Heavy Machinery
In a very convoluted path to get here, we’re getting Undisputed Era vs. Heavy Machinery and New Day. Sami confronts Corbin and says to meet him in the ring.
Sami is in the ring and presents Nakamura with a new IC title. Roderick Strong and UE come out. Somehow, New Day and Heavy Machinery are a team.
Whatever, I’ll take as much Undisputed Era as possible.
The match is going well, but Kofi takes a tumble onto Tucker. Otis comes over and drags Kofi off. Then Otis and Big E start shoving each other.
Smackdown is not getting along tonight. Is this foreshadowing their downfall at Survivor Series?
Tucker hits a huge moonsault nearly squashing Strong. Otis hits the Caterpillar. Cole gets a superkick and Strong hits a big knee. Undisputed Era picks up a win.

Sami Zayn Confronts King Corbin
Backstage, King Corbin is talking with his new Midcard of Evil. He calls Sami Zayn annoying and Zayn says to call him that to his face.
Most interestingly, he has a black bag with a new title maybe? We may be getting a match of some sort. Corbin vs. Nakamura?
We get a quick Bayley promo. She says some stuff about Baszler and Lynch. Pretty standard promo.
Before King Corbin comes out, we get a new IC belt. And…The Undisputed Era comes out. Roderick Stong come out to confront Shinsuke and Sami.
Strange way to introduce a new belt.

Triple Threat Women's Match
Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks. Ripley looks like a star and not a bit out of place in this match.
The bit with her and Flair facing off was enticing. Sasha Banks gets back in then loses it with her team and starts a shoving match.
Ripley picks up the win. She crawled under the Figure 8 and then pinned her while Banks was still locked in the Figure Four.
Then we get the obligatory brawl. Well, minus NXT.

Backstage Meeting
We start off the show with the whole Smackdown roster backstage. Corbin is trying to get everybody to quiet down, but they don’t listen.
Roman Reigns walks up and everyone quiets down. He opens the door and says they are going to kick ass.
Banks walks to the ring and says the women’s roster is going to take care of business. Team Smackdown is headed to the ring.
They invite Team Raw to the ring. Here comes team Raw led by Charlotte Flair. Flair challenges Banks to a 1 on 1 match.
Out comes team NXT. Rhea Ripley inserts herself into the match and makes a triple threat. However, it breaks out into a brawl before the commercial.
3 straight shows of brawls are a little much for my taste.
