Angel of Los Garza has addressed his team’s loss on the March 13 edition of WWE SmackDown, after coming up short against a new tandem.
Friday’s edition of SmackDown saw Angel and Berto face Damian Priest and R-Truth in tag-team action.
Priest and Truth were ultimately victorious, defeating Los Garza after 11 minutes of action.
Angel has now taken to Twitter to note that he and Berto will keep fighting, no matter the result.
The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion wrote:
No matter what happens, we keep fighting. Because that’s the legacy Los Garza were built on. #Smackdown #LosGarza
Damian Priest and R-Truth
While Damian Priest and R-Truth previously shared the ring in multi-person tag matches in 2024 during their Judgment Day tenures, Friday’s match marked just their second as a two-person tag-team.
Priest and Truth previously won a WWE Tag Team Championship #1 contender’s Tag Team Turmoil match, outlasting Los Garza, Fraxiom, Motor City Machine Guns and The Wyatt Sicks to earn a shot at The MFTs’ gold.
With R-Truth winning what would become the World Tag Team Championship with The Miz in a Six Pack Ladder match at WrestleMania 40, we could see the wrestling veteran repeat history at WrestleMania 42, this time winning tag-team gold alongside Damian Priest.
Angel and Berto as Los Garza
Angel and Berto – fka Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo – have been teaming together in WWE since 2021.
While they haven’t held the WWE Tag Team Championship or World Tag Team Title together, the cousins held the AAA World Tag Team Championship for 62 days in 2025. They lost the gold to Pagano and Psycho Clown at Triplemania XXXIII in Mexico City.
