WWE SmackDown March 3 Sets Huge Market Record

WWE SmackDown March 3 Sets Huge Market Record WWE

This week’s (March 3) edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown set a huge record in the Washington DC market.

Friday’s edition of SmackDown emanated from the Capital One Arena in the US capital.

A number of rivalries intensified on the show, as we draw nearer to WrestleMania 39.

Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful on Twitter, internal reports stated that the March 3 show was the highest grossing SmackDown/Raw event ever in Washington DC.

WWE also recently set a market record in the Connecticut market, with the February 10 SmackDown, which emanated from the Mohegan Sun in Montville, touted as the highest grossing event in that market that WWE has ever held.

On the March 3 show, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns met in the ring, ahead of their WrestleMania 39 WWE Undisputed Universal Championship main event.

The ongoing Bloodline story also received its next chapter, with Jimmy Uso helping Solo Sikoa to defeat Sami Zayn, before Zayn escaped a beating from the duo following hesitation from Jimmy Uso.

Cody Rhodes was also in action after the cameras stopped rolling, which you can read more about right here.
