More details have been revealed about the Motor City Machine Guns slated to debut in WWE after a video on tonight’s SmackDown.
Earlier in the show, we covered the mysterious vignette that seemingly teased the impending arrival of a new tag team to WWE.
With a ‘Coming Soon’ vignette featuring imagery of the city of Detroit, fans immediately wondered if the video was related to Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, the Motor City Machine Guns.
Now per a new report from PWInsider, it has been confirmed that the vignette was indeed teasing the arrival of MCMG.
The report notes that Shelley and Sabin were initially planned to debut in WWE NXT for a “short run” on the brand.
However, after the pair was not on hand for the the CW debut of NXT this past week as originally expected, it is now believed that the duo is headed to SmackDown.

Circumventing NXT, the Motor City Machine Guns are seemingly joining a SmackDown tag team division which is set for a big match in tonight’s main event.
The Bloodline duo of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa put their WWE Tag Team Championship on the line against DIY and the Street Profits in a three-way ladder match.
