It has been reported that two future episodes of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX will be pre-empted in October.
As per PWInsider, the October 15 and 29 episodes of SmackDown will be moved to FS1, due to Major League Baseball coverage. A similar switch happened around the same time last year.
FS1 editions of SmackDown usually take a ratings hit, with the October 23, 2020 show drawing an average viewership of 881,000 viewers. The December 18 episode last year, which also aired on FS1, was watched by 1.030 million viewers.
A number of July and August episodes of NXT were also moved from USA to Syfy due to coverage of the Tokyo Olympic Games.
On the most recent episode of SmackDown, it was confirmed that Naomi had joined the brand. Also on the show, we were introduced to Happy Corbin.
Before the show went live, several NXT talents competed in dark matches. After the show, Finn Balor teamed with the Street Profits to take on Roman Reigns and The Usos.
