WWE SmackDown Preliminary Ratings Predict Decrease For February 4 Show

The overnight viewership figures are in for the February 4 edition of SmackDown, featuring the return of Goldberg, ahead of WWE Elimination Chamber.

As per preliminary ratings provided by Spoiler TV, Friday’s show drew an approximate average of 2.001 million total viewers, with 1.998 million for hour one, and 2.003 million for hour two. Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics used these figures, and previous differences between prelim and final ratings, to project that the final number of the show will be roughly 2.110 million.

For comparison, the final viewership of last week’s (January 28) show was 2.217 million viewers, which was slightly down from the 2.255 million viewers who tuned in for the previous week’s (January 21) show.

During the episode, Goldberg made his WWE return, issuing a challenge to Universal Champion Roman Reigns for Elimination Chamber on February 19. Also on the show, Ronda Rousey revealed that she will be facing Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38. Rousey wrestled a dark match after the show, which you can read about here.
