On tonight’s WWE SmackDown (September 27) there was teaser vignette revealing a big return set for next week’s show.
An update via vignette on tonight’s SmackDown as it was revealed exactly when AJ Styles would be making his WWE return.
The last time AJ Styles was seen was on television was back in June at Clash at the Castle where he lost an ‘I Quit’ match against Cody Rhodes.
Since then, he’s continued to appear at house shows including on the European tour ahead of Bash in Berlin during the month of August, but hasn’t been on TV
The clip tonight announced that AJ Styles would return on next week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, later confirmed by commentary along with an on-screen graphic.
Also announced for next week’s SmackDown, a triple threat ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Championship featuring the Bloodline’s Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa defending in a three-way against both the Street Profits and DIY.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, Bayley beat Naomi to earn a shot at WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax at Bad Blood.
