Shinsuke Nakamura surprised LA Knight on tonight’s WWE SmackDown, seemingly revealing a new rival for the United States Championship.
On tonight’s SmackDown, LA Knight had a United States Championship defense against Berto after an earlier in-ring segment saw Knight insult Legado del Fantasma.
In the end, while Knight would retain his title, his night would not proceed smoothly as there as no time to celebrate.
LA Knight was promptly attacked from behind by a mysterious attacker who was quickly revealed to be the returning Shinsuke Nakamura.
Shinsuke Nakamura was last in WWE TV in-ring action back in April on an episode of WWE Raw.
You would be forgiven to believe that he had been entirely out of action, but Nakamura has continued to make house show appearances in the interim.
Nakamura would stand tall in the end as LA Knight has seemingly found his newest feud for the United States Championship.
You can see the clip of Nakamura’s return below.
Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE SmackDown, there was a Bloodline vs. Bloodline brawl in which it seemed as though the fifth member of Solo Sikoa’s team for Survivor Series was revealed to be Big Bronson Reed.
