WWE SmackDown Segment ‘Well Received’ Backstage

WWE SmackDown Segment ‘Well Received’ Backstage WWE

A segment from Friday’s WWE SmackDown (December 6) was “well received” within the company according to a new report.

A week before his Undisputed WWE Championship match with Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event (December 14), Kevin Owens was scheduled to participate in an interview with Michael Cole inside the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Based on his past experiences at being turned away by WWE security in recent months, Owens opted out of heading into the Target Center for the interview, instead inviting Cole to conduct the interview in his rental car outside.

The interview was an entertaining one, with one moment in particular being the subject of amusement from fans on social media after the show was over.

It wasn’t just a positive reaction from fans however, as Fightful Select has reported that the segment was “well received” within WWE.

Owens would later reverse his decision to boycott the Target Center by appearing at the very end of SmackDown, attacking Cody Rhodes injured ankle following his match with Chad Gable.

Also advertised for Saturday Night’s Main Event is the Women’s World Championship match between Liv Morgan and IYO SKY, as well as GUNTHER defending his World Heavyweight Title against Finn Balor and the finals of the inaugural Women’s United States Championship tournament.
