WWE Smackdown Star Wants “Dream Match” With Edge And Christian

A WWE Smackdown star has stated that currently his dream opponents are Edge and Christian in a tag team match.

With his latest singles run, Jey Uso has proven his talent as a solo star. Despite this, he has noted that when Jimmy Uso returns, he’d love to face Edge and Christian in a tag team match.

Speaking with Fox Sports, Uso explained that wrestling Edge and Christian would complete his set. Inspired by that team alongside The Dudley Boyz and The Hardy Boyz, Uso pointed out that Edge and Christian are the only team from the WrestleMania 17 TLC match that they haven’t faced.

Here is the full quote:

“We had the Hardy Boyz, and then we had the Dudley Boyz … that’s one more team I have to mark off. They’re the OGs of the tag division. That triple-threat ladder match at WrestleMania, bro, like, c’mon. Two out of the three teams, me and my brother got to be blessed to work with … that’s another bucket list. Straight up.”

Jimmy and Jey Uso last battled The Dudley Boyz on an episode of Superstars in 2016. The Usos faced Matt and Jeff Hardy on Smackdown in April 2019.

This dream match may never come to fruition, with talks between WWE and Christian over a new deal falling through. Many fans have speculated that Christian may be AEW’s “Hall of Fame worthy” signing that’ll be announced tonight at AEW Revolution.

Jimmy Uso is reportedly returning to action soon after being out of the ring due to injury since WrestleMania 36 in 2020. Calling his brother’s hiatus a “blessing in disguise“, Jey Uso reminded fans that he’s been able to showcase his talents in the singles division.

Jey Uso most recently wrestled Daniel Bryan in a steel cage match on Smackdown.
