WWE SmackDown Time Change Update

WWE SmackDown Time Change Update WWE

Another update has emerged on a potential time change for WWE SmackDown on USA Network heading into the new year.

Over the past year, SmackDown has gone from two hours to three hours and back to two hours, and is reportedly set to go back to three hours at the start of 2026.

However, the upcoming move to three hours may not be permanent either, as there’s a feeling among people in WWE that SmackDown could revert back to two hours again around halfway through the year.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said:

“I can’t say this 100%, but I can tell you that there’s a feeling within WWE that this is going to be very similar to what happened this year.

“Which is, in 2026, it’s gonna move to three hours, it’ll probably be that way for six/seven months, and then it will go back to two hours again for the remainder of the year.

“I think this has something to do with, right now they’ve got two hours and the two hours is followed by the Braun Strowman show.

“The Braun Strowman show is doing freakin’ great – number one because Braun Strowman is involved and he’s a big name to wrestling fans, and also apparently it’s a really good show, and it goes right after SmackDown.

“The Braun Strowman show is beating NXT and Dynamite, that’s how well the Braun Strowman show is doing. I think the Braun Strowman show goes through the end of the year.

“So when the show ends, I guess they’re gonna move SmackDown back to three hours again, and then they’re gonna try to find some other show involving a WWE talent that they can then put on halfway through 2026, and then (SmackDown) would go back to two hours, and away we go.”

Everything On The Menu With Braun Strowman airs after SmackDown each Friday, and was recorded when Strowman was still with WWE, following him on the road as he visited various restaurants and ate their entire menus.

The show debuted on October 24.
