A change to WWE SmackDown has been confirmed, returning to its previous two-hour length in the near future.
Currently a three-hour show, having had an hour added to its length in January 2023, it was recently reported that the third hour was set to be dropped.
The change has seemingly been confirmed according to a recent report by PWInsider Elite which stated that the show would go to two hours from July 4.
With WWE SmackDown airing on USA Network at 8 PM (7 PM Central), August 15 will see The Rainmaker fit into the 10 PM slot, according to a recent network listing.
WWE Raw will continue at its current length, with Triple H having previously revealed that Netflix has a “flexible” approach.
WWE is currently building to several shows in Atlanta, Georgia, with Saturday Night’s Main Event taking place on July 12, and Evolution set for July 13, the following night.
Reports have indicated that WWE is making significant changes to plans for Evolution following Liv Morgan’s injury. You can read more about these changes right here.
