WWE SmackDown Draws Highest Viewership Since September

The final viewership figures for the December 17 edition of WWE SmackDown have been revealed.

As per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, Friday’s episode drew an average of 2.303 million viewers, the show’s highest viewership since the September 10 episode. For comparison, 2.142 million viewers tuned in on December 10.

In the 18-49 demographic, last week’s show earned a 0.52 rating, which was roughly 682,000 demo viewers. This is the highest demo rating the show has received since the November 26 episode. SmackDown was ranked #2 for the night, behind the LA Lakers vs Minnesota Timberwolves NBA game.

For comparison, the previous week’s show scored a 0.50 in the same demo, which was approximately 649,000 viewers.

In the closing moments of the show, Roman Reigns fired Paul Heyman, before brawling with Brock Lesnar. The Beast hit the Tribal Chief with an F5 and stood tall as the show went off the air.
