WWE SmackDown Viewership For July 23 Revealed

The viewership figures for the latest (July 23) episode of SmackDown, featuring John Cena, have been revealed.

According to Spoiler TV, Friday’s episode of SmackDown drew an average of 2.007 million viewers. This is down from the 2.185 million viewers who tuned in last week.

In the 18-49 demographic, this week’s episode scored a 0.5 rating. The July 16 show scored a 0.6 rating in the same category. It is worth noting that last week’s episode was WWE’s first show with a live crowd since WrestleMania 37, as the company returned to touring.

In the aftermath of Money in the Bank, John Cena once again stated that he intends to face Universal Champion Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.

Following his surprise return during the July 18 pay-per-view, WWE released a “Summer of Cena” appearance schedule for the 16-time champion, ahead of the Biggest Party of the Summer.

Also on Friday’s episode, Finn Balor defeated Sami Zayn. Later in the show, Balor issued his own challenge to Roman Reigns.
