WWE Smackdown Viewership Up 186 Percent From Last Week

Last week’s Friday Night Smackdown brought in just 888,000 viewers. However, the show was moved from FOX to FS1 due to the World Series, so a drop in ratings was expected.

WWE responded in a big way with last night’s show. With the majority of the roster left stranded in Saudi Arabia following Crown Jewel, WWE brought in a whole host of NXT stars to invade Smackdown.

The show featured appearances from Matt Riddle, Shayna Baszler, Keith Lee, Rhea Ripley, Tegan Knox and Adam Cole, with the latter having a cracking NXT Championship match with Daniel Bryan.

Triple H and Vince McMahon will be pleased to hear that last night’s Smackdown show on FOX brought in 2.543 million viewers according to ShowBuzz Daily.

This will be great news for WWE, especially considering big names Roman Reigns, The Fiend Bray Wyatt and New Day were unable to attend the show.

It will also be interesting to note if the appearances on Smackdown for a portion of the NXT roster impacts the black and gold brand’s ratings next week in the Wednesday Night Wars with AEW.
