The finalists for the SmackDown World Cup has been revealed after a pair of big matches happened on tonight’s WWE SmackDown (November 25).
After a big match between Santos Escobar and Butch of the Brawling Brutes, Escobar picked up the victory and moved on to become the first finalist in the SmackDown World Cup.
With Zelina Vega on commentary, the hard hitting affair was broken into by a clip of the backstage area with Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens being attacked by the Bloodline.
As Butch sent the rest of the Brawling Brutes to the back “to help the lads out,” there was bedlam in the backstage area while Butch was alone in the ring.
Later in the show, Ricochet took on Braun Strowman in a match that pitted not just the opponents but a battle of ideologies to some degree after Strowman’s recent social media comments.
In the end, it was the high flying Ricochet who took down the monster Braun Strowman to proceed to the SmackDown World Cup final.
