Since joining WWE in 2015, a popular member of the women’s roster has had a varied career in the company but really just wants to wrestle.
Having joined the company in October 2015, following her appearances in Tough Enough season six, Sonya Deville has appeared on NXT, WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown.
She’s been a singles competitor, part of the faction Absolution (with Mandy Rose and Paige), tagged as Fire & Desire with Rose, been caught up in the love triangle storyline with Otis, Dolph Ziggler and Mandy Rose, and been an authority figure on WWE SmackDown and Raw.
Her return to active competition has seen her feature on both main roster shows and WWE Live events, with her last televised match being the Six Pack Challenge for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Title on the November 11 episode of the show.
Despite featuring in the title picture, an actual sustained and substantial push has, it seems, eluded Deville.
Taking to Twitter, she put it succinctly saying:
I want to wrestle!
It can certainly be argued that Deville is getting the opportunity to wrestle, yet it’s the storyline that is missing from her presentation.
Using the WrestleTalk.com WWE win/loss record tracker, Sonya Deville currently stands at a paltry 11.36% win percentage on TV in 2022, with a record of 2-19-1.
Her last recorded TV win was when she and Natalya won a four-way tag match on SmackDown back in August.
