WWE NXT Star Comments After Winning Main Roster Star’s Championship

A new WWE champion was crowned on the recent episode of NXT, ending the near 200-day reign of a main roster star.

The November 11 episode of NXT saw the WWE Speed Championship on the line, with El Grande Americano defending his title.

El Grande Americano wouldn’t walk away with the championship, losing to NXT star Jasper Troy in the customary five-minute time limit match.

Troy has now addressed his championship win over the Raw star via his personal Twitter account, posting:

“WHEAP SLEEP REAP”

Jasper Troy followed up with another post, sharing a photo of himself with his new gold, captioned:

“My Time Is Now

“Wheap…… Sleep…. Reap. @MattPPhoto @WWENXT @TheCW”

Troy defeated Axiom to become the number one contender for the WWE Speed Championship on the October 28 episode of NXT.

Previously exclusive to Twitter, the men’s and women’s WWE Speed Championships were recognised as NXT titles earlier this year.

The championship marks the first that Troy has held since becoming the men’s WWE LFG winner in season one of the A&E reality series.

With that season of WWE LFG wrapping up back in May, Troy was added to the official roster shortly thereafter.

Troy signed with WWE back in August 2022 and made his in-ring debut at an NXT house show in May of the following year.
