AEW Star Shares Honest Thoughts On Competing On WWE Speed WWE

Ricochet has shared his honest thoughts on competing on WWE Speed towards the end of his run with the company.

Prior to his WWE exit, Ricochet was one of the main stars who helped to establish the Speed brand.

Competing in three and five minute time-limit matches only available on Twitter/X, Ricochet became the inaugural WWE Speed Champion in May 2024, before dropping the gold to Andrade in June ahead of his departure.

Speaking with Adrian Hernandez, Ricochet noted that he was not offended by being booked for WWE Speed, and instead viewed his stint on the brand as an opportunity.

Sharing his honest thoughts on WWE Speed, Ricochet said:

“No (I was not offended by being booked on WWE Speed)… You got to look at everything as an opportunity and if you don’t, then I think you’re already kind of defeated. You have to look at everything — especially, you know, they were putting something into this and I wanted to be a part of, again, building something.

“Building something and making it as big as possible. I like that feeling and so, again, any opportunity you get, you gotta strike and that’s kind of the way I see it and that’s with everything. Life, wrestling, everything.”

Ricochet is currently signed to AEW, following his debut for the promotion in August 2024.

He recently claimed that he’d ’embarrass’ a SmackDown star on the microphone, click here to read more.
