The full bracket for a tournament for a new WWE championship title in the women’s division has now been revealed.
Following the debut of the WWE Speed brand earlier this year, the first WWE Speed Champion was crowned in June, following only men competing for the brand.
Stars from the women’s division will now be given their chance to shine in these high-octane matches, with WWE set to introduce the WWE Speed Women’s Championship.
WWE has now revealed the tournament bracket, with eight women set to compete to become the inaugural champion.
The announced first round matches are:
– Lyra Valkyria vs. IYO SKY
– Naomi vs. Blair Davenport
– Elektra Lopez vs. Kairi Sane
– Candice LeRae vs. Piper Niven
Elektra Lopez vs Kairi Sane is the only first-time match in the first round.
Candice LeRae and Piper Niven have shared the ring several times this year, but most recently faced off in singles action on the February 27, 2023 Raw episode.
Lyra Valkyria notably scored a huge victory over IYO SKY in the semi-finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament on the June 10 Raw episode.
Naomi and Blair Davenport is the first round match that happened most recently, with the two stars battling it out one-on-one on the August 16 SmackDown episode.
These WWE Speed matches will feel different however, with non-title bouts given a three minute time limit, and five minutes given to championship matches.
Elsewhere, two title matches have been announced for the SmackDown episode before Bash In Berlin, which you can read more about right here.
