An update has emerged on WWE crowning a new champion with the semifinal matches set for the WWE Speed Women’s Championship Tournament.
WWE is in the process of determining its WWE Speed Women’s Champion, with a eight-woman tournament taking place to crown the new champion.
The first-round matches for the tournament have now concluded, with the two semi-final matches officially announced.
Either IYO SKY, Naomi, Kairi Sane or Candice LeRae will become the first woman to win the gold, with SKY and Naomi set to face off in one semifinal bout, and Sane and LeRae to battle in the other.

SKY defeated Lyra Valkyria to advance to the first semifinal. Naomi had bested Blair Davenport to earn her spot in the upcoming match.
This semifinal bout will take place next Wednesday (October 2).
Kairi Sane scored a win over Elektra Lopez to punch her ticket to the next semi-final. Candice LeRae defeated Piper Niven on this week’s (September 25) WWE Speed episode, which you can watch below.
