WWE Tag Team Split Teased WWE

A WWE star appears to have teased a tag-team split, commenting on tensions while re-sharing a post from last week.

The Motor City Machine Guns were last in action on last week’s (March 6) SmackDown episode, competing in the Tag Team Turmoil match to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

While he has since referenced this in an updated message, Chris Sabin took a leaf out of Nathan Frazer of Fraxiom’s book after the match, previously tweeting:

MCMG is fine.

Things grew more tense on Friday’s (March 13) episode, with Sabin confronting Alex Shelley for trying to motivate Johnny Gargano.

Sabin informed Shelley that they will face Fraxiom on next week’s show, and told Shelley to prove that he is committed to the Motor City Machine Guns.

Resharing last week’s tweet, Sabin has teased that MCMG may not be fine after all, adding:

Or are we?

Shelley replied to this, tweeting:

Stoppppppppp.

The Motor City Machine Guns WWE plans

After holding gold in notable promotions all over the world, including ROH, TNA Wrestling and NJPW, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley brought the Motor City Machine Guns to WWE in September 2024.

The duo won the WWE Tag Team Championship in their third WWE match together, defeating Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa for the gold on the October 25, 2024 SmackDown episode.

The duo have been unable to win back this title since losing it that December, with last week’s Tag Team Turmoil match being their latest opportunity to earn a title shot.

With tensions growing between Sabin and Shelley, we could see the duo finally implode in their match against Nathan Frazer and Axiom on March 20.
