A relatively new NXT on-screen duo has seemingly been split by WWE following last night’s episode of the show on the USA Network.
For a few months now, Robert Stone has been acting as the manager for Chelsea Green, who was the first client in the ‘Robert Stone Brand’.
Last night, Green teamed with Charlotte Flair in a tag match in which they defeated Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai.
You can see the split play out in the following clip:
It looks like Green used Stone to get more recognition, and now she has that, she’s decided to no longer be represented by him.
She seemed to confirm this on Twitter, by writing: “F I R E D. Fired. As in, goodbye! Adios! Sayonara!”
In previous weeks, Aliyah looked like she was trying to impress Stone in an attempt to join his clientele, but instead got too distracted and lost her match, which didn’t seem to impress Stone at all.
The Green & Stone pairing worked and as you can see from that short interview they have a great chemistry, so we’ll see how it plays out, but on the surface it would seem like a bit of a weird decision to split them so soon.
