WWE appears to have spoiled the result of a big upcoming title match during tonight’s May 26 episode of Raw.
Raw tonight featured some build towards the Chad Gable vs El Hijo Del Vikingo match that’s set to take place at the WWE, NXT & AAA crossover show Worlds Collide on June 7.
Vikingo cost Gable his Money in the Bank qualifying match, which was won by Penta.
In advertising Vikingo vs Gable later during Raw after their earlier interaction, WWE appears to have spoiled the result of a separate big match coming up in AAA.
The graphic for Vikingo vs Gable at Worlds Collide that was shown during Raw stated that the match would be for the AAA Mega Championship.
However, the current AAA Mega Champion is actually Alberto El Patron, formerly known as Alberto Del Rio.
El Patron defends the title against Vikingo on May 31, so there’s an apparent spoiler there that Vikingo will be winning the title from El Patron, then defending it against Gable.
This would have been a somewhat expected result for people in the know, as it’s believed that even if El Patron continues to work in AAA in Mexico, he won’t be featured directly on WWE programming as part of any crossover activities.
