WWE Has Spoken About A Potential Major International Premium Live Event WWE

With WWE hosting major premium live events in Puerto Rico, Cardiff and Montreal recently, and AEW selling 60,000 tickets to All In at Wembley Stadium, international wrestling events are a hot ticket right now.

Coming off a wildly successful and well received Backlash event in Puerto Rico, WWE still has premium live events coming up in Jeddah and London in the next two months.

Recently, there has been rumours that WWE could potentially be headed to Australia for an event, and there has now been an update on that.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), WWE has reached out to representatives in Australia to gauge interest for a potential premium live event in the country.

Fightful also notes that often when information is reported about a city being a front runner for a PLE, it is done to drum up interest in the area before it’s an actual reality.

Following WWE’s recent tour of Europe, Bayley took to Twitter to pitch a potential TV episode of premium live event in Paris.

Full results from Backlash were as follows:

Raw Women’s Championship – Bianca Belair (c) def. IYO SKY

Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins def. Omos

United States Championship – Austin Theory (c) def. Bobby Lashley, Bronson Reed

SmackDown Women’s Championship – Rhea Ripley (c) def. Zelina Vega

San Juan Street Fight – Bad Bunny def. Damian Priest

Solo Sikoa & The Usos def. Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens & Matt Riddle

Cody Rhodes def. Brock Lesnar
