Former WWE Star Able To Stand Up Out Of Wheelchair WWE

Diamond Dallas Page has shared a positive health update about WWE legend Lex Luger who has been wheelchair reliant since 2007.

Luger suffered a nerve impingement in October 2007 that led to his temporary paralysis and has been reliant on his wheelchair since 2021.

During a recent DDP Yoga YouTube video, Diamond Dallas Page has revealed the progress Luger has made having worked with him for over a decade showing the former star able to stand unaided for the first time.

In the video – which you can watch below – Luger reflected on his relationship with Sting and what the WWE Hall of Famer had said to him and the impact paralysis could have had on him before discovering God.

Luger shared the conversation he had with Sting, saying:

“Sting and I, talk about, man… it’s so good I got saved before the spinal cord injury.

“Steve said, man, the way you were back then you would have offed yourself because you were all about the gym and your body and walking into a room and every head turning.

“He goes, ‘you lose 100lbs of muscle and being paralysed from the neck down and being in a wheelchair, I don’t think you would have made it.'”

In the video, we get to see DDP leading the WWE legend through a series of mobility exercises with the star also commenting on his fractured relationship with his own children while talking about regrets.

With Luger looking back on his life and his activities that led to the loss of contact with his children, he revealed he hopes to repair some of the damage done.

We then see Luger reflecting back on the years he has spent with DDP and the two past runs he had at attempting to walk.

Finally, we get the breakthrough moment with DDP encouraging Luger standing without the assistance of his wheelchair.

WrestleTalk wishes Luger well as he continues his recovery with DDP.
