A WWE star has addressed a potential betrayal of their current stablemate after recently making a return to television.
The cracks in the D’Angelo Family came to a head at WWE Stand & Deliver, when Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo betrayed Tony D’Angelo during the Family’s six-man tag team match with DarkState.
Following the betrayal, Stacks met up with Luca Crusifino in the desert, with Luca not appearing on WWE NXT television again ahead of Tony and Stacks’ match at Battleground.
During the match, Luca made his first appearance since the break up, where he accidentally distracted Tony, allowing Stacks to pick up the win over the Don.
Following the match, Luca attempted to console Tony, only for Tony to reject his hug.
On last night’s NXT show, Tony and Luca met up backstage, with Luca declaring his loyalty to Tony, and that he wouldn’t betray him like Stacks did.
Taking to Twitter following the show, Luca responded to the segment again, reaffirming his loyalty to Tony.
He said:
I didn’t disappear because I was disloyal, I disappeared because staying would’ve put everyone at risk.
I did what I had to do to protect the Family. Not once have I betrayed this life. Not Tony. Not the Family.
But being gone … it tore me up. I couldn’t take it anymore. I came back because I needed Tony to see I was still here. Still loyal.
I didn’t show up to interfere, I showed up because I couldn’t stay silent any longer.
But don’t mistake timing for betrayal. My loyalty never left. @wwe | @wwenxt
