A top WWE star was spotted at today’s AEW Grand Slam event in Brisbane, Australia earlier today supporting their real-life partner.
AEW’s first-ever event in Australia took place earlier today, when AEW held it’s Grand Slam event in Brisbane’s Brisbane Entertainment Center.
Among the matches on the show was an AEW Continental Championship match, pitting champion Kazuchika Okada against Australia’s own Buddy Matthews.
Buddy Matthews is the husband of current WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, who is also from Australia, and she was reportedly in town to support her husband.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Rhea Ripley was in attendance for the show in support of Buddy Matthews.
Rhea herself competed in Australia last year, when she main evented the Elimination Chamber premium live event in Perth against Nia Jax.
